The Didactic Guide of Haria, reflects the most relevant aspects of the natural and cultural heritage of this municipality of Lanzarote.

It contains seven routes that have been specifically designed with an instructional and pedagogical approach in mind: The Cochineal, Arts and Crafts, Water in Agriculture, The Mountain, La Corona volcano, César ManriqueThe Agro-environmental Farm of Los Lajares.

Although the activities are designed for students in the fourth, fifth and sixth years of Primary Education;the creativity of the teacher can adapt them to any other levels of basic education.

As stated in the Primary Education curriculum of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands, it is about “students knowing, appreciating and respecting cultural aspects, most relevant historical, geographical, natural, social and linguistic aspects of the Community; as well as those of its surroundings, as required by the different areas, assessing the possibilities of action for its conservation”.

It is about motivating and stimulating the student, offering him an attractive, involved education, capable of putting him at the center of learning. In short, this Guide is one resource that complements those designed by the teacher in the classroom, in a new, engaging way.
